i am you, you are me

time passes me by

everything is all so green/ i paint the world in various shades/ the hues bounce around the atmosphere/ from the oak trees to the grass blades

the pages in my book flip/ the wind shuffles them around/ the aroma flits up to my nose/ from where i lay on the ground

my steeping tea cools in the air/ the steam is hit by the crisp sky/ i imagine a kite drifting above/ and read on to the next line

flowers, bees, trees, water

You are all mine/ the flowers and the bees/ the petals and the stripes/ in the dirt and in the trees

You are all mine/ I’m tired of keeping track/ of everybody who stares/ for now, they face my back

You are all mine/ I need you to reel me in/ to pull me up from the water/ so i can stop drowning

it’s summer y’all :)

the summer is here/ the summer of a thousand things/ the summer of love/ the summer of tethers and strings

the rain doesn’t skip a beat/ the thunder rolls on in/ the skies fill with grey/ and lets the sun go for a swim

the gap between the clouds come/ and it breaks apart the storms/ the floods all halt/ and towards the ground, bugs swarm

the summer is here/ and i step outside/ the smell of grass and rain greet me/ the season where all senses collide

Green

The greenery fools us all/ the resemblance of peace and tranquility/ the swoosh of the vines and swish of the leaves/ brings what we all forget to be anonymity

The flower petals you smell/ the sweet scents that fills your nose, your lungs/ breathe it in real slow and lean back/ because it’s just fibonacci that lingers among

The ocean you crave to crash down over/ with the salt that dries your hair after a spray/ the sand that grinds between your creases/ that only reminds you of how you long to stay

The trick nature pulls on us all/ the laugh that rings at our expense/ it’s not the bees buzzing or cicadas chiming/ but what the mother of all makes us repent
